Yeah, I'm doing NaNo again this year. So far so good. I'm at 2497 words, which is more than I wrote in total last year. Luckily I have until the 19th before anything is due, at which point I have an essay that week and an essay and a final the week after, but whatever. I'm going to be happy just to get anything written, really.

After it's all done, I might upload the story for people to read. It's going to need some major edits though. Serious, serious editing!

So, I've been exploring around the My Little Pony world and I've found two ponies I want.

They're beautiful and I wants them. Unfortunately, while the ponies themselves aren't that expensive ($16 and $9) the shipping is killing me. It would be $22 to have them shipped to Canada.  There are times I wish I lived in the US, if only so it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg just to get a package delivered. Ah well. I have a birthday coming up, so maybe I'll get enough money to pay for shipping.

We've restarted this blog group thing. This week there was a choice of two topics. I picked the second.

Describe a time in your life when you had to say goodbye. Was it to a person? A place? A community? Was it easy to say, or hard? Was it a sad farewell, or were you happy to say it?

Hasn't happened yet, but next year I'm going to have to say goodbye to my university friends. It's not going to be a happy time. Especially saying goodbye to morgie39. We've been together since first year. We were randomly assigned as roommates and now she's one of my best friends. We've lived together for three years and are living together again next year. I expect lots and lots of tears when I have to say goodbye to her after graduation. At least there's still deviantart, where we can keep in contact (as it slowly eats our live). And who knows, maybe we'll end up going to the same grad school, in which case the goodbye at the end of that will be even worse.

Not that I'm not going to miss everyone else. I suspect tears all over, so pack the Kleenex mom!

I am currently lacking in a job and needing money. I'm also bored out of my mind. So, I thought I'd offer commissions for custom My Little Ponies. Please note, all prices are in Canadian.

COST:
Basic Custom - $20
- Includes 1-2 hair colours
- Simple symbol (painted or sticker or transfer, depending on what you want/what I can find)
- Optional body dye

Added features
- Gradient dye - $1 (no cost for painted gradient, only dyed)
- Additional hair colour - $1 per colour
- More complicated symbol (ex. glitter, gems) - $1
- Wings - $1 (angel), $2 (butterfly)

If you think of anything else you want, just ask and I'll let you know how much it would cost.

TIME:
I'll do my best to finish quickly, but depending on how complicated your request is and what's going on in my life, it could take up to a month. I'm also reliant on Canada Post to get me my supplies (hair and dye) quickly, so factor that in too. For a relatively simple request, it could take as little as a few days to make.

SHIPPING:
- Shipping in Canada will probably be around $10
- Shipping to the US will be about $15

PAYMENT:
- Full payment is due by Paypal before work is started

If you are interested just comment and say that you'd like to reserve a spot. Once you do that, I'll send you a big long form of stuff I need to know for your pony. I don't want to stretch myself too thin, so I'm only taking the first two.

Yay! Nutrisystem is working really well. I've lost 5lb in the past just-over-a-week. I'm pretty sure that's mostly from not drinking pop, but still. Yay!




In other news, still no job. I'm starting to get pretty depressed about it. At least I don't own any money on my credit card, so I don't have to worry about paying that off. It'd still be nice to have a job though. I'd take almost anything at this point, even fast food.

I have two invite codes for Dreamwidth, if anyone wants them. Just comment and I'll send it along.

Woke up today to find cat vomit on the stairs. Joy. Turns out one of them ate my headphones. Guess it didn't agree with them. On the plus side, it gave me an excuse to buy new headphones. London Drugs had some SkullCandy ones on sale. I've been wanting those for a while now, so this was a good chance to get them.

Today I also went to the job fair. It was okay. Huge line, but it moved quickly. There weren't many places there that I'd work for. A lot of outdoor work. But I put in my resume at a few. Hopefully I'll get a few interviews and get a job soon. I have a grand total of $1.11 to my name, so...yeah. Need a job.

So, back in Calgary. Been here for a week now, but I've been busy unpacking and relaxing. The move went well. All our stuff got thrown out or stored. Morgan and I are going to be living together next year in a two-person place, which will be really nice. No more random roommates who I'll want to kill!

Right now I'm housesitting for dad. I have the house all to myself! Which is great, until I watch horror movies and can't sleep. I also just completed my standard first aid course. I am now certified to save lives. Hopefully I'll never need any of it.

And I've restarted Nutrisystem. I just got my first order today. Now, I know the program's good, but I really hate that they substitute stuff. All of my desserts/snacks got cut out and replaced with 25 bags of Nacho Crisps, which I'm not super fond of. Luckily, they're sending the stuff I actually ordered free of charge.But, if anyone wants Nacho Crips or Chicken Noodle soup, just ask. I've got plenty. Now I just have to put it all away.

Oh, and I have a dreamwidth account.  allykatb It's pretty much exactly the same as everything on lj. Actually, it is exactly the same. Everything'll be crossposted for now.

Anyways, that's all in my life. Hopefully I'll be getting a job soon and then I'll have money to actually do stuff.

Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! In January I turned chrisnada in for tearing the tag off a mattress (3 points). In February I put gum in morgie39's hair (-12 points). By the way, I'm doing NaNo this year, and it's totally kicking my butt. Why does it have to be November? This is my busiest month. Hopefully I'll finish the readings for my Monday test early and get a chance to do some writing before I have to start my essay.

See title. That's what I'm doing right now. Okay, not porn, but smutty slash. And I'm in my office hours for forensics. Sharing the office with a guy from the Baptist club. He's got some "Come with us! Before God our creator!" music going on. It's highly amusing. I wonder what he'd say if he knew what I was doing?
